At Three Little Bees, the energy is high, the smiles are wide, and the learning is non-stop! This week has been nothing short of a whirlwind—in the best possible way. From prepping for school to building fine motor skills and diving into outdoor exploration, every moment has been filled with laughter, wonder, and hands-on discovery.
It’s safe to say our little bees have been buzzing with excitement—and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
School Readiness in Action: Confidence Starts Here ✏️📚
School preparation isn’t just about ABCs and 123s—it’s about building the confidence, independence, and curiosity children need to thrive. This week, our educators rolled out a range of engaging school-readiness activities, helping our soon-to-be big kids practice everything from name recognition and pencil grip to following routines and working together in small groups.
Watching them proudly pack their pretend lunchboxes or “sign in” at the classroom door gave us all a little glimpse into the amazing learners they’re becoming. And yes, we may have had a few “they grow up so fast!” moments along the way.
Fine Motor Fun: Tiny Hands, Big Milestones ✂️🧩
Behind the scenes of all that play is some serious skill-building—especially when it comes to fine motor development. Our little ones have been cutting, threading, stacking, sorting, and more, using activities that look like play but build the strength and coordination needed for everything from writing to dressing themselves.
Highlights included colourful bead threading, peg boards, and a “sensory station” where kids could scoop, pour, and transfer water and beads like little scientists in the making. The concentration on their faces was real—along with the proud grins when they nailed a tricky task!
Outdoor Adventures: Learning Beyond the Classroom 🌿🌊🐠
Of course, no day at Three Little Bees is complete without a dose of fresh air and nature-based learning. Our outdoor spaces have been buzzing with exploration—from water play and obstacle courses to imaginative games that turn sticks into swords and sandpits into treasure islands.
The little ones also had a ball exploring our nature corner, where they got up close with shells, sea creatures (plastic, not real—don’t worry!), and ocean-themed puzzles that sparked big conversations about marine life, waves, and even octopuses. 🐙
One child proudly told us, “Octopuses have three hearts!” and honestly, we learned something new too. Thanks, tiny marine biologist.
A Day in the Life of Joyful Learning
Whether it’s inside or out, focused or free-flowing, every activity at Three Little Bees is designed to support the whole child—emotionally, socially, physically, and cognitively. But the best part? The kids don’t even realise how much they’re learning because they’re too busy having fun.
We’re so proud of how far our little learners have come—and we can’t wait to see where their curiosity takes them next.
Here’s to more buzzing days full of joy, play, and discovery! 🐝💛
