Curriculum

At Three Little Bees Kindergarten, we offer a curriculum designed to foster each child’s emotional, cognitive, social, and physical development. We tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of children in two different age groups: 2-3 years old and 3+ years old, ensuring that every little bee receives age-appropriate activities that build a strong foundation for future learning.

Curriculum for Children Ages 2-3

Social and Emotional Development

  • Encouraging basic social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and expressing feelings.
  • Building self-confidence and independence through simple tasks like cleaning up, dressing, and self-feeding.
  • Fostering positive relationships with peers and caregivers in a safe and supportive environment.

Language and Communication

  • Expanding vocabulary through storytelling, songs, and rhymes.
  • Encouraging simple conversations and listening skills through interactive activities.
  • Supporting early literacy skills, such as recognizing letters, sounds, and simple words.

Cognitive Development

  • Engaging in hands-on activities to promote problem-solving, shape and color recognition, and early math concepts (counting, sorting, matching).
  • Exploring cause and effect through sensory play (water, sand, etc.) and interactive learning materials.

Motor Skills Development

  • Strengthening fine motor skills with activities like building with blocks, drawing, and puzzles.
  • Developing gross motor skills through music and movement, outdoor play, and simple games.

Creative Expression

  • Encouraging creativity through art, music, dance, and imaginative play.
  • Providing materials for free drawing, painting, and crafting to build sensory awareness and hand-eye coordination.

Curriculum for Children Ages 3+

Social and Emotional Development

  • Strengthening emotional intelligence by identifying and expressing feelings, and managing emotions in a group setting.

  • Introducing science concepts, like the weather, plants, animals, and the human body, through hands-on activities.

  • Refining fine motor skills with activities like cutting with scissors, stringing beads, and drawing.
  • Enhancing gross motor skills through climbing, running, jumping, and organized outdoor games.
  • Fostering hand-eye coordination with activities like throwing, catching, and balancing.
